The Australian Merino Wool Sheepskin process has undergone a technological breakthrough with the development of the ？igh Temperature Medical Sheepskins？ These sheepskins undergo a special tanning process allowing them to be washable at temperatures of up to 80 degrees Celsius, with no deterioration, thermally disinfecting them, allowing safe use many times. Ideally suited for use in many Medical Applications, and distinctively colored Green, these urine and blood resistant sheepskins are designed for the patient to lay upon, providing a cushion of high density, soft and springy fibres that enable weight to be distributed over a larger area while still allowing air to circulate throughout the fibres. The Medical Sheepskin has the ability to absorb up to 36% of its dry weight in moisture without feeling damp or wet, greatly reducing the incidence of pressure ulcers and providing added comfort and stress relief. Medical sheepskins are suitable for many applications, such as surgical and long-term patients, who require buttock, shoulder and lower back protection.

Australian Medical Sheepskins are available in three sizes, are Colored Green, and easily identified with the official ？S4480？Chop or Stamp.
